Levant Transit Fiber NetworkCopernican International has
been mandated by Levant Communications Group (LCG) to
raise $2 million in Series A funding, as well as up to $62 million
in debt and equity financing for the Levant Transit Fiber Network
(LTFN). LCG is a Jordanian corporation founded by Vision
Investments of Amman, Jordan (of The Kawar Group) and Real Time
Communications Inc. of Seattle, Washington, USA, to develop the
transfer fiber-networking infrastructure in the Levant region. LTFN
will provide a fiber transit link for international and domestic
data communications carriers through Jordan, Syria and Lebanon.
The network will provide telecommunications transit or backbone
facilities for international carriers as well as licensed
regional and local service providers.
Business Development and Partnership Development for a $500 Million
Contract, International Government Consultancy (US and worldwide)Copernican
assisted an 8A International Government Consultancy develop its
consortium for a successful $500 Million Department of Energy Indefinite
Quantity Contract.
Sovereign Debt AssignmentCopernican was mandated by
a Ministry of Finance to create financial solutions to realize immediate
value on nearly US$2.0 billion of sovereign debt holdings with the
Republic of Iraq. Copernican International led a world-class international
team of financiers, lobbyists, and emerging market specialists to
structure creative solutions for the Ministry.
Private Office Representation and Franchise Brokerage (Persian
Gulf)Copernican is assisting Gulf nationals to identify
potential opportunities for investment and franchise agreements
throughout the Middle East.
Business Development and Regional Representation, Middle East
and North Africa (MENA), International Economic Development Consultancy
(Dubai, United Arab Emirates)Copernican assisted an international
economic development consultancy establish its presence in the Middle
East and North Africa. Copernican assisted in the development and
execution of the regional strategic plan. The client has established
its presence from Dubai to Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and Saudi Arabia,
is published in regional economic journals, and has a significant
project pipeline.
International Sports Management, Formula 1 and Indy CarCopernican
represents Zanarini Sports Management, including Formula 1 driver
Giancarlo Fisichella (www.fisico.com)
and Indy Car driver Tomas Scheckter (www.tomasscheckter.net)
in the Middle East and the United States.
Authorized Representation, Dubai Internet City and Dubai Media
City (North America)Copernican represented the interests
of the Dubai Internet and Media Cities in North America, promoting
Dubai at key international events such as the International Emmy
Awards.
Special Advisor for Technology and Media for the Governments
of Canada and Malaysia in DubaiCopernican assisted the
Commercial Attachés of the Embassies of Canada and Malaysia
in promoting commercial diplomacy and bilateral trade between firms
from their respective countries and Dubai and the United Arab Emirates.
Funding Advisory and Private Placement, Preventive Health and
Life Sciences Technology Company (US and the Middle East)Copernican
assisted an early stage venture in preventive health and life science
technologies attract international funding. This assignment included
assisting the firm launch and establish its presence in Dubai, the
United Arab Emirates, and launch into other markets in the Middle
East.
Panel Development, Investor Research on the Political and Economic
Situation in BrazilCopernican assisted a leading regional
US investment bank to assemble a discussion panel on the presidential
elections and the economic situation in Brazil prior to the 2002
presidential elections. The call attracted over 100 US and European
financial institutions.
